Kate, for the record, it’s true from a strictly chronological timeline that Captain Midnight played prior to ZZ Top but it would be historically reckless to conclude that this was any reflection of musical prowess.

My understanding is that Billy Gibbons recalls the evening as “the night Captain Midnight kicked our butt.”
